We’re thrilled to have board member Jane Ellis as this month’s featured speaker. Jane attended Stockbridge for floriculture and enjoyed working in the greenhouse with flowering and ornamental plants. She eventually transferred to landscape architecture learning design and working in the studio. Jane is the Horticultural Manager at Joyce Landscape where she manages the seasonal color accounts and has the opportunity to put all her skills into use.
The Seasons of Design
One of Jane’s favorite time of year is the winter holiday season when she gets to use artistic freedom and talent to transform her client’s homes to a winter wonderland. She enjoys working with live plants, colors, and containers. Mixing colors and textures is a big part of Jane’s job. She likes using white pines, amaryllis, holly, and many other plants to put together special displays that change from year to year.
Join us as Jane demonstrates how to create beautiful seasonal and holiday outdoor décor. Jane will be using materials from local nurseries and will walk you through how to the process to create custom pieces for your clientele. Jane and her crew will be working with window boxes and containers. There will also be a slide show. This should be a fun and informative class – don’t miss it!
We’ll be providing appetizers, so please let us know you’ll be there by clicking here!
