Together with the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, the Department is very pleased to announce that the new online Pesticide Examination and Licensing Application (eLicensing) system is now live! As many know, this new e-Licensing system has been created as part of a much larger and expanding platform known as the Energy and Environmental Information and Public Access System (EIPAS) and the Massachusetts Pesticide Board, Industry Representatives, and Associations alike have long supported, discussed, and participated in these efforts.
In the next few weeks the Department will mail out “link” letters (see attached draft link letter) along with the attached Applicator and Dealer Informational Memo. These will go out to all individuals currently licensed or having recent passing exam results. These link letters will provide specific instructions and individual codes that will allow the individual to link their newly created ePLACE Portal Account with their existing record(s). Businesses employing pesticide applicators and their related associations will also be sent a separate informational memo (see attached business memo) to notify them of the recent changes (see attached). For now all licensed applicators and dealers need do nothing but wait until they receive their “link” letter with the attached informational memo.
The Department understands that there will be some confusion among both examination and licensure applicants. Due to an anticipated increase in calls and emails, the Department asks for everyone’s patience.
