Throughout his time in the Green Industry, Sam (like most of us) has attended dozens if not hundreds of presentations.  Some are mindblowing!  Some are not.  If we're lucky, we get a delicious golden nugget or two to add to the notebook.  In an advert attempt to buck the system, Sam will pepper the attendees of this talk with tidbit after tidbit.  He will include tips, tricks, plants, stories, tools and more in a rapid-fire presentation designed to have both newbies and seasoned vets alike leave with several tasty morsels to devour with renewed inspiration.

Speaker Bio

Sam Billings leads MainStay's fine gardening team with 15 years of experience in the green industry. Armed with a B.S. in Sustainable Agriculture from UMass, Sam is not only a seasoned professional but a certified landscape professional (MCLP), arborist (MCA), and holds both a Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) and a Permaculture Teacher Training Certificate (PTTC).  With a background as an Organic Farmer, Sam is deeply passionate about land stewardship and strives to foster improved relationships between humans and their habitats.
