IRRIGATION CONTRACTOR LEGISLATION
Thursday July 24, 2025
Recent information from Steve Boksanski, GIA's legislative agent at BCB Government Relations:
We are pleased to report that the Joint Committee on Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure has reported out favorably a slightly modified version of the Irrigation Contractor legislation. The bill has a new number (H.4283) and it has been referred to the House Committee on Ways and Means. Upon a quick review, we noticed only grammatical changes and nothing of real substance.
We will be sending written comments to the HWM staff and will take a closer look at the Committee to find some legislators we can target. Here is a link to the Committee’s webpage if you would like to see if your Representative is on this important committee: https://malegislature.gov/Committees/Detail/H34.
